Scandinavian designer Alexander Åhnebrink brings a modern elegance to THE+RECORD PLAYER within a product category most often associated with retro-style. The clean lines and Maple or Walnut finish choices of THE+RECORD PLAYER blend seamlessly with any living space and its intutive, no-fuss user interface makes it easy to enjoy the music.
A highly versatile analog and digital music system, THE+RECORD PLAYER offers a variety of listening options. A custom turntable by Pro-Ject offers stabilized 33/45 rpm vinyl playback, as well as Bluetooth, optical digital input, and a USB input/output to rip to a MAC or PC and play back your music files. A special auto signal sensing line input and 5-Volt power supply is provided for seamless integration of Amazon Echo or Google Cast audio adaptors.
The standard version of THE+RECORD PLAYER features an aluminum tonearm and Ortofon OM10 cartridge. For those seeking a more premium combination, THE+RECORD PLAYER Carbon Edition adds a carbon fiber tonearm and upgrades the cartridge to an Ortofon 2M Red.
Most all-in-one record players lack high quality sound, making the category quickly dismised by HiFi afficinados. THE+RECORD PLAYER includes a powerful bi-amplified 100W speaker system, providing clear and accurate sound reproduction with the balanced low-bass and well-defined highs expected by HiFi enthusiasts.
The room-filling, detailed and balanced sound of THE+RECORD PLAYER is an ear-opening experience. “THE+RECORD PLAYER provides the vinyl listening options today’s enthusiastic consumers demand, from streaming device integration to superb audio quality – all from a stylish and compact system that compliments any décor,” said Bob Hazelwood, Chief Engineer. “We are excited to bring this premium quality single-box solution to market, kicking it off in North America at the New York Audio Show.”
Both versions of THE+RECORD PLAYER are slated for sale this year, with the standard model priced at $1,000, and the limited Carbon Edition at $1,200.
The special launch pricing will end January 1st, 2018, where the standard model and the Carbon Edition will be available at $1200 and $1400, respectively. Both versions come in Maple or Walnut wood finishes.
+AUDIO will also be showing off the devices at the 2017 New York Audio Show, November 10-12, room #803.
